Following many successful years in the Engine and Generator Industry, Stephen Brown established Brownpower Engineering Ltd. in February 1993.
The business was originally set up to manufacture Portable Generators for the Plant and Tool Hire Industry. This was a strong foundation for Brownpower and soon the company became recognised as a major supplier into the industry.
In 1995, following steady growth, the company expanded into larger premises. This came at the same time as being appointed Generator and Engine dealers for Honda.
With the acquisition of Nottingham based Phoenix Power & Equipment in 1999, we are now the UK's leading supplier of Portable Generators and supply many industries including Hire, Construction, Leisure, Exhibition, Mod, Police, Motorsport, Mobile Catering, etc.
With all this gained experience and with a strong qualified workforce, expansion again occurred, in 2000, into modern premises in a prime location in Rugby.
In 2002, Brownpower were appointed one of the six UK Distributors for Honda Engines and Spare Parts. This recognition was greatly received by our customer base and the level of supply of Honda engines and genuine spare parts is increasing daily into current market places and also those unexplored.
